Blog EntryTwo reasons not to do the roadie thingJun 12, '07 6:11 PM
for everyone

Four of the tuesday night numplumz headed over to rocko to support the crazy roadies

Reason 1

Mountain Bikers drinking Halfs!!!

We did have a full pint before this (honest)

Check steve's little pinkie, I say

Reason2

A bit of a coming together on the road while we were downing our pints

Jack uses his invisible crystal ball to predict the winner of the sprint

Oh by the way there was a race on, Well done to Graham, Mike Cowland(1st), bad luck to Brownie he had a shitty race, also to Gregg and Bob with bent bits

Thanks for the support - you wouldn't believe how hard I worked to make sure I was near the front on that 2nd lap!! It was a good race for me - not so good for some of the others, particularly Bob, Paul and Gregg.

What a great nights riding..even if most of it was one legged after my pedal seized.
glad I got a lift home.

Wonder if we will see that picture of our mock sprint over the line that someone took.

Where was Nige..on Holiday I guess.

Thats one seriously mullered wheel considering he didnt hit anything, his body was pretty well scratched too.

i hope we do see the mock sprint photo as it could be my only claim to fame this year

Nige turned up late after a poor day at work. Lucky for me really - I had to borrow his gloves as I had remembered a pair but unfortunately they were for the same hand from different pairs!!

After talking with a St Ives rider who was nearly hit in head by my front wheel I sort of work the crash out. A Welland wobbly rider, gets bumped, wobbles, bins it doing a hard right though the bunch. landing on my back wheel, causing me high side over the other side road. twisting my bike around and nearly sticking in the head of St Ives rider. All good fun. The bang caused by the wheel and tube was pretty loud.
